It's that time of the year again, when the people of Alcalá pay homage to Nuestra Señora de los Santos (Our Lady of the Saints) at the nearby Santuario.  This lovely little video from ArteVisualCadiz captures the moment beautifully.  Thanks to Rosa Almagro Montes de Oca for permission to include it here.

would never be allowed in the Uk on the grounds of the dreaded "Health and Saftey" heaven forbid people should act responsibly and have a good time time.

I just discovered your blog and I really loved it. I'm very happy to see your interest in my hometown culture, tradition and customs and also to see all wrote in a language I love as it was my own mother tongue. I'm something like an Alcalá "expat". I hope I will hazardly meet you the next time I will go there.
